Introduction to NCC Unit, Bahona College

With the motto Unity and discipline, the NCC unit of Bahona College has been involved in wide range of nation building activities of social services, discipline and adventure training from the very inception in 1982. The NCC Boys cadets (SD) of Army wing with a capacity of 100 take part in various national level camps such as RDC,NIC,EBSB,YEP as well as CATC,ATC camps in regular basis under the guidance of 9 Assam BN NCC, Jorhat. The cadets are offered 3 years NCC course for B and C Certificate Examination which facilitate the cadets to serve in the Indian Defence services and other Govt. and as well as private sectors with a sense of patriotism and dedication.The introduction of Girls’ NCC unit (SW) is under process. Associate NCC Officers Lt. Jaigeswar Bora and Lt. Alock kumar Dutta had served and provided the foundation of NCC in the institute with their strong leadership. The present Associate NCC Officer is Lt. Dilip Tamang, Assistant Professor of Botany.

Cadets of Bahona College regularly attend Annual Training Camps(ATC),Combined Annual Training Camps(CATC) under Jorhat Group NCC.
