The Department of Education was established in the year 1966. This department plays a prominent role in all round development of the student. The department of Education was an inborn organ of this institution. It was a witness in every event that took place from the initial stage of this institution.

Education is a multidimensional subject which comprises philosophy, psychology, history, economics, management and organisation, technology and specially related to guidance and counselling service. Our department emphasizes the student to gain knowledge which will prepare them for a successful life.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES AVAILABLE:
The department of Education has its own departmental room with enough space for the faculty members. The department of Education has its own departmental library with about more than 500 books and a set of computer with a printer covered by college Wi-Fi facility. Students can avail books from the library for fifteen days. Currently professor in- charge of our library is Mrs. Ilaxi Bora. Apart from reference books and text books, it has a collection of journals and magazines donated by the faculty members of the department. Students can read those journals and magazines at the departmental laboratory. The department has a well equipped psychological Laboratory, with almost all psychological apparatus.
