Students' Support

Students Aid Fund
The college has a Students Aid Fund to help the needy and meritorious students. Aides offered in both cash and kind.

Book Grant
All the departments have departmental libraries and book banks. Apart from issuing books from departm ental libraries at periodical basis, book grant is provided to the needy students from the book bank for an academic session.

Remedial Classes
Apart from the general and tutorial classes of normal routine, there is also a provision for remedial classes in the subjects in which students' performance is found to be poor.

Course counselling
A programme of course counselling Is held In the college before admission and Its date Is notified either In the notice board or published In the local news paper.

Career counselling
Programmes of career counselling, particularly for the final year students are held from time to time and students are made aware of the job opportunities in different fields. There is also a Career Counselling Cell to collect career information and bring it to the notice of the students.

Coaching classes for entry in different services
The college has been providing coaching for entry into certain jobs to the outgoing students as well as educated and unemployed youth either free of cost or at nominal cost.

Study tours
The college has provisions of study tours with the assistance from college fund and also with government/UGC financial assistance. The tours are meant either for field study or for educational excursions.

Workshop on students" course performance
The Academic Development Cell of the College organizes programmes and workshops to assist the students in their academic performances.

Motivational programmes
Motivational programmes are organized periodically in the college focussing on self-employment and development of local potentials and entrpreneurlal skills.

Awareness programmes
Students are also made aware of socio-economlco-envlronmental Issues as well as health hazards through certain programmes organized either by the college or in collaboration with NGOs & GOs. The college also provides infrastructuralfacilities to social activists.

Provisions for differently abled students
The college administration and the departments try to provide special care for differently abled students. Measures are taken to assimilate the students with the general student fraternity

Alumni support
The alumni organization of the college Is actively working for students' support through different programmes and projects. The alumni of the college successfully established In different fields are invited to the college on different occasions to interact with the students which may inspire and motivate them to strive for success.

Feed Back Support
Feed back from students, faculties and parents are taken on course, routine, teaching-learning   quality,  accomodation, atmosphere, administration etc. and necessary support and corrective steps are taken there after.

Students Self Employment Counselling Centre
This cell organizes counselling and training programmes for students' self employment. It also organizes exhibition programmes to familiarize the students with local opportunities for self employment .

Students" Grievance Cell
This cell addresses the complaints and problems of the students. The cell is managed by a special committee to analyze the complaints or grievances and to suggest corrective measures to the authority.

SOPAAN the ladder
It is a newly established student support fund managed by the teachers of the college under the chairmanship of the Principal. The fund offers financial support to needy andmeritorious students to pursue higher education. Donations are accepted from people both inside and outside the college fraternity to benefit a greater number of students.

Orientation Course
The IQAC has introduced an Orientation Course for the students of SSDC to fill the lapse in mission of the College, not met by the regular courses.

Health Care Cell
The health care centre of Bahona College works for" blood group registration, studying health problems of the students and taking follow up actions, organizing medical camps and communicating with medical departments and doctors in emergency situations during working hours and when the periodical health check up programmes are organized. The Health Care Centre is patronized by the Public Health Centre, Saralmaria Gaon and Collaborated by Enajori, a local NGO working for blood donation.

Internal Complaints Committee
Internal Complaints Committee has been formed to make the stakeholders of the college more gender sensitive and to provide Judicial and counseling services to the needy ones In the context gender issues.

Stipend for Community College Students
Regular students of Community College is awarded Rs. 1000/- per
One seat in both Science and Arts Streams is reserved for students coming from the village under Extension Care Programme.
